Road trip to Pondicherry and Chennai (IIT Saarang) - The January of 2007

I have been going out of town a lot of late....started wid mumbai in dec 2005, then saw me goin on a north india tour in jan 2006, followed it up wid a trip to aurangabad and other areas later , next came another trip to mumbai in october 2006 , then the best of the lot , dec 2006 ---->>> GOAAAA , followed it up wid a trip to orissa towards the new year 2007 , and now the latest to join the bandwagon is IIT SAARANG and PONDICHERRY , around jan ending 2007 .. that's indeed quite a travel for an engineering student from hyd.. only a handful of others have traveled more than wat i did ... but then considering that i love traveling a lot, it mite seem lesss....I m really looking forward to a trip to Pune and Bangalore in coming months.... well , i m gonna tell u bout the IIT tour in here...

4 years and jus the first time i was goin to IIT SAARANG, the cultural festival of the prestigious IITM , ya indeed a thing of shame .. tryin to go there since 3 years and finally i get to go this time.. well we had lotta free time now and nothing to do and no tensions, so i guess the trip was possible... so many of my friends made it there too , well its final year for many of them too remember .. lol ...but the main grp consisted of me, nit, neha , panuati and swati .. then my frnd sunny was also comin there along wid his college mates and we spent time there too .. plus i also had Abhi and group comin tooo and here's the biggie , the whole francis gang of gooofy, priya , piyu and co. also were there.. so was like toooo many ppl to spend time wid ... and don fget the IIT MAFIA batch as we call it, friends of neha, i.e cyril, shashi, nandita and others .... plus we had our juniors and not to forget others from our college...

well it was like entire hyderabad was in chennai that one weeeek... i felt the same way when i went to MOOD-I las year ... Bottomline : Hyderabadis are Everywhere

I spent most of the time wid nit and gang though .. sunny was thr to fill in for the odd hours though .. was a great experience all together.. i wish i went to all the other 3 saarangs the las 3 years ...we got a car there.. nit had relatives ova there.. so the best part was we went everywhere in our car , can it get any betta than this... we were put up in the IIT hostels.. the new ones.. so accommodation was perfect too ..

The best part bout the trip would be the beaches ...the 5 of us had gr888 funnn on the beaches... well i cant express even a single bit of how awesome we felt , on this blog .. such was the intensity ... we totalllyy freakkedd outtt.... we tried shootin a lil of the fun in the handycam .. and ya my digi cam which was NOT WATERPROOF , took a nice bath in the water there... its condition is almost dead critical in a servicing centre in hyd now ... thr marina beach , basanth beach in chennai were absolutely amazin ....we did everythng on the beaches , right from playin crazy games, eatin like demons , sinkin one another , runnin like mad ppl, having our fortunes read by astrologers wid parrots , shooting, etc etc ... can go on and on ........ Besanth beach was so very neatttt ...

and the best part was our ROAD TRIP to PONDICHERRY in our very own car .. self drive.... remember my lon lasting dream of a ROAD TRIP .... finalllyy it came true... the drive up till there was amazinn fun... we went to pondy and had gr88 funn again on the beach - AURO BEACH ... was truly amazin... was another beach ... but i was in for total disappointment, from wat i saw of Pondy ... looks like this place is very renowed .. very much overhyped... i guess the place became like this after the deadly tsunami... mayb we went thr wid loadsa expectations ... so the disappointment... but the time we spent at AURO beach was prettyyyy goood ...

Next in line shud be the time spent in IIT campus, attending different Workshops, shows, events ... we learnt the dance forms of Salsa , tango , lambada and rivera ... was truly one thng i wud hav loved to do every year at this place ... dance workshops were so funny and full of energy .. and the best part was u did sumthgn productive and u had a chance to shake ur ....

one of the biggest pluses of this trip would be the IIT MAFIA gang .... hehehehe... the big group consistin of us all , i.e me, nit , neha , panuathi , swathi and cyril, shashi, nanditha, jaya, vinaya , savitha, rajender, ramanand, nishita, sunny, goutham, sachin ,shankar ... we all met towards the fag end of the trip , or else it wud hav beeenn much more memorable.. we had the ball of our lives... we did the craziest thngs that were eve possible and of course everything in the campus ... It was like reliving your childhood, when we played games like OUT-OUT , Dog and Bone , Lock and key to irkin ppl in trains , we did almost everythng , that normally only kids do .... hehe ....truly this is one thng i will denftly miss bout the trip...

how can one forget the way we spent the nights in the campus .. not even a single day we slept bfor 4 in the morning ... esp me ... one day , actually didn't sleeep at all.. thats hoow much we were engrossed in havin fun .. and a lovely thng was the CCD iin the campus .. it was right close to our hostel and wud be open till 3 in the morning ... so u knw, we would be there always .. thats our CENTRAL PERK .. hehehe [:d] ..

n then the icin ... or rather the stand out event ... me pushin panuathi onto the glass doors of this super big mall called MAAYAJAAL and it breakin wid loud thuds and small pieces fallin evrywhere .. and then the manager comes to us and asks us, 'madam , r u allright 'to her ....we were so scared , that when he asked us that , we all broke loose .... hahaha..

well that is the trip in short... well its wat u get to read, after the censors hav edited the censored stuff... hehehhee... sorry everything is not for public display ... well i miss IIT already and of course miss the IIT maafia ...the road trip was mind blowin tooo ...

My Adventures in Mumbai - Dec of 2005

Well , i know i havta tell u the rockin time i had in the Loviest place called - MUMBAI !! I been thr from dec 26- 31st '05 ..The main purpose of the visit was TO FREAK OUTT !! n i did exactly that ...Did i tell u , i was SUPPOSED to represent my College in the MOOD- INDIGO ( iit-b Cultural Festival ) ...Now , now lemme tell u .. No sane person wud hav gone to mumbai n wasted his precious time participatin in some insipid Festival .. N i thght the same too .. so i said to hell wid IIT .. i , of course Attended only the Rock show in the fest .. Indain ocean were good for an Indian band ..

Ok , enough of IIT .. Now the real thng starts .. MUMBAI - the vivacious City that never sleeps ....its full of lights ...The city is a spectacle to be viewed in the ni8 .. The SKYSCRAPERS keep growin up n up n up ...any normal apartment wud be 9-10 floors ( well , mumbai being an island , cant grow anywhere excpet vertically :| ) ... It is the NY of India....The beaches r the loveliest part of MUMBAI ..( though not the cleanest ) ..Everywhere u go to, u find a beach .. The ppl in mumbai r very very friendly ...I had to converse wid most of them in hindi , n it was completely cool ...

The GALS in MUMBAI completely rokkk .. Gals , gals n more gals .. is what mumbai is all bout ..i realized EACH SECOND GAL IN MUMBAI is a HOT GAL ..That leaves 50% of women in mumbai to the HOT category .. thats too much for any city , n so mumbai is quite up thr .. ( hyd stands at 50%, too) :-d ..

In a convo wid some stranger in a beach , i told him " Hyderabad is nothng mate , i wanna stay in Mumbai " , n that fellow was like grinning n said" Mumbai is nothn mate , i wanna stay in GOA " .. Well , My goa trip shud be on the cards in near future for sure, but for he moment its all MUMBAIYAAAAA!!!!

I hav like a Zillion frnds in Mumbai , n added to that almost the whole of my Frnd community from HYDERABAD was in MUMBAI too ( each one had their reasons , though ) ..Each of the days i spent thr , i was out wid Diff Bunches of my frnds ..

The FIRST DAY , i went on a Local tour of Mumbai , to basically get acquainted to mumbai n to the places to visit to .. I went to almost all the tourist spots n saw the mansions of most movie stars , not that i care , but its a thng too ri8 ...SRK , Salman khan n his bros, Rekha , Big B , Chothha B , John abraham , Fardeen khan , sanjay dutt , Preity zingta , Aish , Akshay khanna .. phew !! me seen all their houses ... towards the end of the day went in to TENDULKAR'S ( sachin's restuarant ) , to jus come out dissapointed , bcos it was full of SEA food :(( .. SO i went over to the most happening pub/disco in mumbai - FIRE n ICE , PAREL .., later i decided each ni8 i will go to one gr8 pub/disco...The ni8 life here roxxx...

Second day , went over to COLABA , Boarded a Cruise to ELEPHANTA CAVES ( on an island , takes 2 hours to travel on the whole ) .. Did trekking over thr ..well the place aint sumthng gr8 , but u surely will hav fun thr ...went alon wid a frnd .. later part of the day was spent shoppin in FASHION STREET n colaba !! .. spent a fortune on bands n funk stuff .. the place mumbai from the outside is very costly , but the key is BARGAIN !! at a store , i was told the rate of an Armani was 1500 rs , i asked him Straight , wanna SELL IT FOR 150 rs or not .. n lo !! i hav it now !! :-d ... Finally went to LEOPOLD in colaba..a gr8 bar / cafe ri8 from the days of the book SHANTHARAM .. it was like my guide book there btw ..

Third day , i did some Wholesome Shoppin again in Colaba .. spent a whole lotsa time ..Then went to the 3 gr8 places in mumbai - COLABA , NARIMAN POINT- MARINE DRIVE , MALABAR HILLS ... What lovely places r these 3 ..marine drive is this bigg stretch of road beside the sea ..( ala TANK BUND ) .. this is seen in most movies .( rem those Star shaped cement rocks on which munnabhai sits in the movie ) ..Some gr8 5 -star hotels r on this marine drive ..Also saw the stadiums of BARBOUNE n WANKHADE n also SHIVAJI PARK ..Then Nariman point is the this really costly Commercial area , which has most of the big offices of mumbai n govt. buildings ..Went to this Theatre called INOX n saw a crazy movie for 180 rs :(( .. Later had my lunch at MOCHAS.. A very famous cafe grp in mumbai ...Also covered the areas of MAHALAXMI, HAJI ALI , WORLI , PAREL ... I also covered the big hospitals of mumbai like BREACH CANDY, LEELAVATHI, NANAVATHI ... In the evening i left for IIT-B in POWAI ,, saw the rock show .. n then ended up by goin to VELVET LOUNGE,Renaissance Hotel ,POWAI ..Damn costly place ..Thankfully , it was my frnds own place :-d... SO that was the day , in which i had the most fun ...

fourth day , met an old frnd of mine , shes from hyderabad , we haven't met here in a lon time ( though we stay like 15 mins away from each ones houses) , n we meet for the first time after ages in MUMBAI .. isnt that creepy ..Snigdha is the girl ..We had gr8 fun .. wen to BANDRA that day , the beach in BANDRA , BANDSTAND , etc .. also saw the place where dhoom racin scenes were shot ..the same day also covered the areas of DADAR, ANDHERI, VILE PARLE , SANTA CRUZ ... Ended the day by goin to AVALON, in vile parle - a gr8 disco ..was awesome fun ..

So i already know the mail has been too long .. i havta still type a lot bout my other various
adventures ... i will come up wid another one shortly ..

" Amidst tight security , with sweat dripping of his forehead , he looked nervously here n there n confirmin that no soul was around , he switched on the monitor of the pc , quickly logged in wid the password n started openin his .. THUDDDDDDDDD!!!!! Oh NO!!!! some one is comin .... he quickly switches off the monitor n acrobatically jumps to hide behind the curtains ...he waits there with his heart poundin loudly ...few minutes pass by..he realizes no one is around ..so he comes out n switches on the monitor n he starts typin ...again someone is comin ..the above mentioned process continues ..n luckily for him so far , he is not caught YET!!!"

No no .. U DIDN'T jus read a passage from " FOURTH PROTOCOL" by FREDRICK FORSYTH ...u JUST READ a passage from " HULK'S DAILY LIFE , NOWADAYS !!!" ..u know written by whom??...seriously thats what is happenin wid me nowadays ...life has become too tough for me now...btw whatever i told above was for writin a SINGLE BLOG!!!!!! (intrstin .blv it !!!!!!)....my MOM n DAD r the TIGHT SECURITY i was talkin about ...they hardly allow me to touch my system nowadays n that too all this WHEN THE RESULTS HAV NOT COME YET !!!.. so the thought of the situation ,when my results wud come out will sure send down cold shocks down my spine !!! maybe i hav to enact ala TOM CRUISE in MI-1 ...(frogs , plz dun even thnk of it ....he he )!!!......so now maybe u know Y I WRITE BLOGS SO FREQUENTLY NOWADAYS (was that a Poor joke!!!!!...who cares !!!).....

Oh HOLYCOW...did i forget it again ...(oops!! i did it again) ...i forgot to wish u a HAPPY NEW YEAR ...anwyays happy new year ppl....hope the new year brings with it lotsa happiness to u n me n everyone else, most importantly i hope IT WILL DO JUSTICE TO THE INNUMERABLE NUMBER OF FAMILIES AFFECTED BY THE "TSUNAMI "....GOD R U LISTENING !!...(surprised!!!! i hav feelings too..)...
